Photographer and artist Erin Gleeson lives in an idyllic cabin near San Francisco, California, where she paints beautiful watercolors, cooks from her CSA box, and writes her beloved food blog, The Forest Feast, and a weekly “Delish Dish” column for Better Homes and Gardens. OK - but with some quirks.

I am pretty picky about wall calendars since our family of 6 depends on it to keep our lives working together smoothly. I liked the aesthetic of this calendar, especially the food theme, since we keep it in the kitchen. I always try to find a small artist or favorite non-profit (like NPR) to purchase from.
What I like about this calendar is that you still get the art without having a huge space sucking calendar on the wall. Most calendars just have the art on the top, but this is sprinkled all on the actual calendar. This saves some fridge space, which is nice.
This calendar isn't my favorite for a few reasons. The boxes are just a tad too small. I can already tell some of our busy days, or days with a pre-written holiday on them will get a little messy. Also, the background could use to be a bit lighter. Some of the days are fully covered by the background photo and it's hard to see the writing on top of those days (as seen in photo). I also wish that the top portion of the calendar was a different watercolor page every month instead of always pink. It would be nice to use that portion as sort of a "frame" and put random drawings from my kids on it ... but the pink will get old quick.
All in all an okay calendar. It will get us through the year.

Don't Waste Your Money

Huge disappointment. No art on the top half of the calendar. Just monochromatic watercolor swirls which are the same on each page--no photos--no drawings--no text-- nothing at all. Will not brighten up my work space as hoped. The only information this calendar contains is which veg are in season each month and the days in the months. I like her blog and the cookbook, but this in no way reflects them. This is going back pronto!

Easier to use for adding appointments, etc. than some past calendars we have had.

Slightly smaller than the "write on" calendars that we had used for several years, but what a pleasure to use and view. We will seek out a similar type calendar for 2017.
