How fun to plan and explore an adventure tour to New York with your children!

A trip to New York with your kids or grandchildren? You want to have a 'blast ' but where to begin. Too many places to go, explore and see! The author Teresa Mills understands that so well and put together this 'quick and easy to read' little book to engage the children in the planning.
Of course you want to visit the popular landmarks like the Empire State Building. But when the kids learn that it has 73 elevators, 6,514 windows, 103 floors and 1,576 steps to get to the top and envision to be part of a yearly race, they get excited. Or, what or where is "Top of the Rock?" Where else can you find an "inflatable cat in the can" than in New York? How fun is that to search for it? How did Canal Street get its name?
I have lived in New York for several years, loved it, and always want to visit again with my grandchildren. Reading this book re-kindled my dream-come-true' and I imagined how much fun we all would have! This book is filled with tips where to go, what to see, fun tit-bits of information all focused on having fun exploring while also learning some historical facts. Yet, it is absolutely not overwhelming!
I loved reading this book and learned quite a bit that I want to go back and explore. I hope you will join me!

A book that will spark your interest!

What a delightful book! I read it and then had my 10 year old granddaughter read it to see what she thought. She was able to read it in a pretty short time and told me it made her want to go to NYC. I felt the same way even though I've been there many times and have a daughter who lived there for almost 10 years! The book was very specific about the places that are an intricate part of NYC and explained many interesting things about the city and even went on to describe the places and give a little history or a fun story that had to do with the place. Very interesting! The one thing both my granddaughter and I agreed on was that we wished there were more pictures. But this kind of book gives you enough information to minimize the overwhelming task of taking a trip to a grand place like New York and make it very doable and simple. Very nice!
I received a free copy of the book for my honest review, and was pleasantly surprised with the outcome. I'll have to check out the other books in the series and hope the author comes out with many more books of this kind.

I am dreaming about going to New York with my sister and two young nieces so when Teresa offered to let me read it for free in return for a review you can bet I was pretty excited!
When I started I wasn't sure what I'd think. I have only bought a handful of kindle books - some were pretty amateur and the others that at had great content were pretty hard to get through. I have been going through this book for the last 30 minutes and have to say I'm pleasantly surprised!
Some of the things I like about it:
- I love the "Fun Facts" associated with the attractions. My younger niece will love that I know this stuff :)
- I like that it's a kindle book that I can access on my phone! It'll makes it so much easier when walking around.
- I like that she's included pictures. I can't stand kindle books that don't.
I hope she comes out with a complimentary tour book next! :)
