About the Author
Lenna Kutner is a long-time resident of Auburndale, MA. She adopted a puppy years ago, and joined her neighbors for daily walks at Norumbega Park, affectionately known as "the dog park." When Lenna learned of the park's colorful history, she knew that Norumbega would make a great setting for a children's story, and began writing "The Magic of Norumbega."
Lenna is married and has one son. She has degrees in Elementary Education and in Public Administration. Most of her professional life was spent in human services, working with kids and, later on, with the elderly. Writing has always been Lenna's secret passion. She is currently a volunteer at a neighborhood library where she is surrounded by books and children who love to read as much as she does.

I have just finished reading "The Magic Of Norumbega," by Lenna Kutner, and it is absolutely delightful! The story is about two dogs who are good friends, and about their adventures at Norumbega Park. The book is enchanting and entertaining, and the illustrations are superb!
Speaking as a man who grew up just two streets away from Norumberga Park, I spent most of my youth there. I visited the bears, rode the rides, paddled the canoes, peddled the peddle boats, and danced many evenings at the gorgeous Totem Pole Ballroom. It truly was a magical place, and Lenna Kutner has captured that essence of it all in her wonderful book. If you like dogs, and a great tale, this is the book for you. It's definitely a "must read." Do yourself a favor, and get a copy today. I promise you, you won't regret it.

I loved it!

This book is a special treat for everyone - a meticulously researched, suspenseful tale of pets pulling at your heartstrings as they encounter adventure and danger passing back and forth through time from the current Norumbega Park - now a conservation area - to its former incarnation as a nationally famous amusement park filled with big band ballroom dancing, exotic animals and unusual side shows. A unique story not to be missed!

A fun, warm-hearted

A fun, warm-hearted, and fast-paced time-travel adventure, great for grades 3 - 4 or to read aloud to younger kids. The writing is lovely, with perfect illustrations and informative author's note about the historical background about Norumbega Park.
